Chemical Peels
At Skincare Aesthetics, a range of medical grade chemical peels are offered, that treat various skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, texture and skin tone. Chemical peels encourage exfoliation by sloughing off dead skin cells, forcing your skin to replenish them with healthy, new cells. In other words, cell turnover will be increased. Healthier skin will be revealed and benefits from skincare products will be maximized.
A customized acid peel is applied to your skin by a certified aesthetician for a specified amount of time. The stronger the acid and the longer application period, determines the depth and downtime of the peel. Peels are applied to remove the most superficial layer of skin, revealing the healthier and smoother skin underneath.
Treatment Time: 45-60 minutes
Downtime: Depending on treatment chosen client can expect up to 3-7 days of healing and possible peeling.
Treatment Frequency: 4 weeks apart. Please note: Depending on skin condition some may require additional treatments. Once goal is achieved maintenance peels are recommended.

BHA Peel

BHA Peel contains Salicylic Acid (20%) and is ideally for frequent breakouts, oily, and acne prone skin. It is considered a mild to moderate peel. Salicylic acid is a BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid), which means that unlike AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids), it is oil soluble and can penetrate deeper, getting rid of extra sebum, and sloughing off dead skin cells even in the oily areas of the face. It also fights fungus and yeast. This peel is one of the most requested chemical peels. It is a type of superficial chemical peel containing 20% glycolic acid. A molecule of glycolic acid has the smallest molecular weight among all other fruit acids, which means it is better able to penetrate the skin, which allows it to work more quickly and effectively. Additionally, glycolic acid has been shown to stimulate collagen production in the skin which can help to improve skin firmness, thicken the epidermis, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Glycolic acid targets some of the most common skin issues, such as hyperpigmentation, clogged pores and blackheads, dull, dehydrated skin and visible signs of aging.
